Dispute Resolution Policy

International Screening Solutions, Inc., (ISS) is conscious of its responsibility to report accurate and timely information in all of its investigative consumer reports.

 

Information developed or reported to ISS is often the results of verifying supplied information provided by a candidate, personal interviews and/or the review of public/non-public records provisioned on behalf of a candidate. What is said or written is sometimes the subject of interpretation or misunderstanding.

 

If an individual believes that any information reported about them by ISS is not completely accurate, that person can request ISS to conduct that part of the background investigation again to resolve any issue in dispute.

 

This re-verification of the disputed information will be at cost to the individual. If the individual is still not satisfied with the results of the disputed information the person may report the dispute to the Federal Trade Commission (FTC). ISS agrees to cooperate and comply with any decision of the FTC.

 

Additionally if the information was obtained from a country in the European Union, ISS has agreed to have the matter reviewed by the European Union Data Protection Authority to investigate any unresolved complaints. ISS will cooperate and comply with any decision reached by the European Union Data Protection Authority.

 

To initiate a complaint about any issue involved in an employment or preemployment investigation, the complainant should contact:

Contact may be made by mail, telephone, fax, or email. Upon receipt of the complaint a formal “Resolution of Disputed Information” form will be mailed to the complainant for completion. Upon returning a completed “Resolution of Disputed Information” form, the Privacy Officer will work with the complainant to resolve the issue to include having any investigative information in dispute verified again.

 

Should the complainant still not be satisfied, information will be included in the “Resolution of Disputed Information” form of how to contact the FTC or if the case of the information coming from a country in the European Union, how to contact the European Union Data Protection Authority.
